The Lodge @ Futaleufu Home Waters

Esquel/Trevelin/Los Alerces National Park/Central Patagonia Argentina

"Variety is the Spice of Life, That gives it all its flavour!"
... poet William Cowper
So it goes with our Home Waters, with nary another fisherman in sight! You'll find yourself casting in a Big, Beautiful Valley one day, Scenic Mountainous Terrain the next day, and through the Argentine Steppe the next... each day in Beautiful "Patagonia" on a World-Class Trout Fishery!
Fishing enthusiasts flock to Patagonia for its thriving trout population, including rainbow, brown, brook trout, and land-locked salmon. The pristine waters offer an ideal setting for fly fishing, with clear currents providing a serene backdrop. These salmonids, introduced from various countries, thrive in Argentina, particularly in Patagonia along the Andes. The fishing scene resembles that of the Western U.S., notably Montana and Wyoming. Patagonia's mid-summer climate, similar to these states, offers dry days and cool nights, with mountain rivers, spring creeks, and streams. Trout average 12 to 20 inches, with intermediate anglers landing larger ones and experienced ones tackling 5 to 15-pound trout. Many rivers also boast salmon exceeding 10 pounds.

Beyond the landscapes, Patagonia's allure extends to its top-notch "off-season" (November to mid-April) in Chubut, featuring lakes, rivers, and streams renowned globally for excellent fishing. Patagonia's remote and pristine nature calls to those seeking solace in the great outdoors. Untouched beauty, coupled with the tranquility of the landscape, makes it a haven for exploration and a sanctuary for those yearning to immerse themselves in the raw splendor of nature.
